Ludlow Food Centre has been shortlisted to become the Midlands’ best independent retailer in the Great British Food Awards – just three weeks after being shortlisted to become Farm Shop & Deli Awards’ Food Hall of The Year.

The Great British Food Awards, launched in 2014, celebrate the country's finest artisan producers, local ingredients and the very best of British.

Jon Edwards, Managing Director at Ludlow Food Centre, said: “It is always an honour to be shortlisted in such prestigious award categories – but to be shortlisted twice in just a month is beyond our wildest expectations.

“This is further testament to all of the hard work put in across all areas of the business – and particularly that of our incredible artisan producers.

“With the business continuing to grow and new product lines well on their way as we approach the summer, this couldn’t be a better start to the year for Ludlow Food Centre.”

The awards are judged by a number of industry chefs and professionals, including TV personalities John Torode and Rosemary Shrager, as well as Great British Food magazine editor Natasha Lovell-Smith.
