Ludlow Food Centre has been shortlisted to scoop another regional award.

The centre is in the running to be crowned Best Food & Drink Champion at this year’s Shropshire Star Spotlight Awards, after being selected as a finalist by a panel of judges.

Having now been shortlisted, Shropshire Star readers are able to vote online for their favourite in each of the award categories.

Edward Berry, Managing Director at Ludlow Food Centre, said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be shortlisted by our local newspaper as a food and drink champion for the region.

“We are proud not only to champion local, seasonal produce and our own artisan production, but also to be one of Ludlow’s largest employers, giving local people real career opportunities within a thriving business.

“With our two cafés, Ludlow Kitchen and Ludlow Pantry, as well as The Clive Restaurant with rooms, we are very much a local operation, serving both local food and drink on each of our premises.

“Our thanks go to our loyal customers and visitors once more for the opportunity to be shortlisted. After an incredibly successful year, we hope to be celebrating another award win soon.”

The Shropshire Star Spotlight Awards were launched this summer, with the aim of promoting the entertainment and leisure industries across the region.

Voting has now closed, with the awards ceremony held on November 17th at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn.
