Ludlow Food Centre has been awarded five gold stars in this year’s Great Taste Awards.

Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs and producers as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.

Production Kitchen Manager Damien MacNamara, whose team was rewarded with one star for its Chicken Liver Pâté, said of the award: “It’s fantastic to get recognition for our handmade products from such a prestigious board of judges.

“Great Taste Gold Stars are well-respected by both our customers and by industry professionals, so we’re over the moon.”

Jon Edwards, Managing Director at Ludlow Food Centre, added: “The number of gold stars we continue to receive year on year is proof that our products exceed expectations, and continue to surprise judges.

“A massive congratulations goes to every one of our departments for their skill and hard work that makes achievements like this possible – and a special well done goes to our coffee roaster, Julie, whose Espresso Blend No. 3 has been awarded a star for the third year in a row.

"I'm incredibly proud to work with such a talented team.”
